Traffica

For drivers

Share your driving on your terms

If your insurer or employer invited you to share your driving through Traffica, here’s exactly what happens to your data, and how to stop whenever you want.

How joining works

Four steps, and you’re in control of each

  1. 1

    Get an invitation

The insurer or fleet you work with sends you a code, a link or a QR code. Only they can invite you.

  2. 2

    Review the terms

The app shows who is asking, why, what they will receive and their privacy notice, before anything is shared.

  3. 3

    Join with one tap

Your phone gets its own key. There is no account to create and no password to remember.

  4. 4

    Stop any time

“Stop sharing” in the app ends it immediately: your consent is revoked and your phone can no longer upload.

What we protect

Privacy rules that hold even inside your organization’s account

These aren’t settings someone can switch off. They are how the data is stored and read.

  • Your home and work stay private

Unless you agreed to share trip history, the first and last 200 m of every trip are removed, and start and end points are shown only as areas of about 0.7 km².

  • Only what you agreed to

Location, driving events and vehicle signals each need your consent. Anything you didn’t agree to is dropped when it arrives.

  • No profile about you

Traffica knows you only by a reference the organization gives it, never your name. An email address is used once to send your code, and never stored.

  • Only the organization that invited you

Data you share with one organization is visible only to them. It is never used for other customers or in shared traffic products.

  • Your rights, built in

Ask the organization for a copy of your data or for deletion. Exports and deletions run in minutes, including your trips.

  • Scores you can understand

If you are scored, each score shows exactly which factors cost points and how many, with no hidden model.

Questions

Good to know

Who controls my data?
The organization that invited you. They decide why it is collected, as described in their notice, and they handle requests for a copy or deletion. Traffica processes the data for them.
Does stopping sharing delete what I already shared?
No. Stopping ends collection right away. Data already shared stays with the organization until it is deleted by their retention rules or at your request, so ask them if you want it removed.
What if I didn’t expect an invitation?
Ignore it. Nothing happens unless you join, and invitation codes expire after at most 30 days.
Can Traffica see my name or contacts?
No. Traffica stores no names or contact details for drivers, only an opaque reference from the organization and the key of the phone you joined with.
