For insurers

Driving data your policyholders agreed to share, scored your way

Collect driving events from phones and telematics units under an auditable consent ledger, and turn them into explainable scores with weights you control. Computed only on your own data, never across organizations.

What you get

Everything between “invite a driver” and “price the risk”

Identified data is enabled per organization once its contract and legal review allow it, and it never feeds the shared products.

  • Driving events

Hard braking, hard acceleration and harsh cornering from phones and telematics units, normalized per 100 km.

  • Scores you weight

Five factors combined with weights your organization sets. Every score comes with its factors, the points each cost, and the main reasons.

  • Consent ledger

Purposes, data categories, notice version and evidence for every grant. Append-only, and a revocation stops ingest at the next upload.

  • Driver invitations

Invite drivers with a code, a link or a QR. They review your terms in the app and join with one tap, with no account or password.

  • Trips & usage

Trips, distance, driving time and night share per policyholder and per day, with precision set by what each driver consented to.

  • Data-subject requests

Export everything held about a person in one file, or delete a person, vehicle or device, trips included, within minutes.

Explainable scores

A formula you can read, with weights you choose

Each factor costs points in proportion to how far it is toward its reference value, up to its weight. Scores are computed on read and never stored, so a change of weights applies everywhere at once.

Hard brakingevents per 100 km · full penalty at 10 / 100 km30

Speeding is judged against the posted limit of the road each position matches. Below your minimum distance (20 km by default) a driver gets no score rather than a volatile one.

How it works

From invitation to score, with consent at every step

  1. 1

    Invite

Create an invitation with your purposes, data categories and notice. Traffica emails the code or you share the QR.

  2. 2

    Join

The driver sees who you are, why you’re asking and what you’ll receive, then joins with one tap. That acceptance is the consent record.

  3. 3

    Collect

The app uploads with its own device key. Consent is checked on every upload, so anything not covered is withheld.

  4. 4

    Score

Trips appear about 90 seconds after they end, and scores are computed with your weights whenever you ask.

Designed for regulated use

Built with the scrutiny of insurance data in mind

Using driving data in insurance can bring the FCRA, state insurance rules and state privacy laws into play. Traffica is designed to support that work, and we review the specifics with your counsel.

  • Your data stays inside your organization: no cross-customer scoring, no pooling.
  • Every score is explainable: factor values, references, weights and points lost.
  • Every read of identified data, export and deletion is in your audit trail.
  • Revoking consent stops collection at the next upload; data subjects can get a full export.
  • Where a road-data provider’s agreement allows it, you can also license aggregate road-risk products such as hard-braking hot spots.
